Tamuka Dube

I graduated from Franklin University in Columbus Ohio with 2 degrees, one in Accounting 2006 and another in Financial Management in 2009.  In 2006 I joined the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation’ as an account examiner. I assisted Ohio employers paying their workers compensation premiums by reviewing their financial statements and giving appropriate payment plans so they can stay in business. I also worked with the Ohio Attorney General the Ohio Courts in resolving dispute that would between the employer and the Ohio Attorney General and or the court.

In 2008 I was promoted to work as Financial Reporting Accountant for the accounting department. I prepared financial statements and the board report. In this position is where I learned what accounting is really like as I Discussed monthly financial results with management for purposes of explaining variances to budget as well as establishing short-term financial projections, Aligned all financial activity with the regulations of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and all accounting aspects.

In 2010 I decided to follow my childhood dreams of being entrepreneur. I resigned from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation’ and found A&T world Logistics with my friend. The mission of our company was to ship cars across the country. We bought a truck and a trailer. However due to inexperience we found ourselves in difficult financial situations and we had to close the business.

The entrepreneurship in me didn’t allow to give up. My partner and I went separate ways. In the same year 2010 I then founded TVG Logistics with was later named SwitchFWD. This mission was the same as A&T World Logistics but didn’t have any equipment, it was a brokerage company. I operated the company for four years, however it was not challenged enough for me, as a lot of people were doing it. I closed the company in 2014.

I joined Public Health Solutions in 2015 as a Grant Accountant. I Tracked all capital spending against approved capital requests, analyzed costs and revenues to project future trends, reviewed budgets initialized by program directors, prepared monthly and quarterly expenditure reports for various program directors and analyzed grant spending patterns and collaborated with program directors.

Later in 2015 I founded Silver Shield Capital. I later left Public Health Solutions to run my new company full time. Currently we are help trucking companies recover money from brokers who don’t pay them. We will be introducing factoring soon. We are also working on plan that will change the trucking system in a major way.
